Hello World! Welcome to the blog of planning and ultimately backpacking through Europe. Me (Jordan) and my boyfriend Kody will be backpacking through Europe in December for 18 amazing days. This will be our place to express our excitement of the trip, how we planned, what we want to do, and then writing and posting pictures from when we make it there, all for our families to be able to experience these amazing moments with us. So, after 4 long weeks we FINALLY made our decision. We booked our flights and will be flying from Houston into Paris. We will spend 3 fabulous days in Paris, walking, bus hopping, metro exploring. All from the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, Disney Land Paris, to versailles. Its going to be amazing. After Paris we will find our way to take our first train. Which will take us 4 hours north to Amsterdam. That night we will do your typical exploring of the famous Red Light District, and well you know. After one loonng eventful night we will spend the day on rented bikes exploring the historic part of Amsterdam, including Ann Frank's House. After are fun time in Amsterdam, we will spend our night for the first time on a Train. Bunking with 4 other people I might add. (Kody was really excited to sleep in the SUPER high bunk beds that stack 3 beds high). Time to get cozy. We will spend 6 and a half hours on this train till we arrive in Florence. Venice was originally on our list, but after talk of all the flooding we took that off really quick. So we will spend a day in Florence just exploring, getting lost, and shopping (my favorite thing to do for all the people who don't know me all that well). Next, off to Tuscany we go. So we can spend a relaxing couple of hours in the Hot Spring. If you have never seen one please google it...don't close this blog...but PLEASE look it up. Its so amazing looking, and FREE, what college kid doesn't appreciate free? Then all the way to ROME. This is somewhere me and kody have always wanted to go! Its so beautiful, and there is so much to see! 3 days in Rome, and I'm sure we will have seen everything we wanted to...twice. After Rome we will head for 2 days in Monte Carlo, and Nice. Hoping we wont look too silly hanging out on the beach in our bathing suits when its cold outside! After that we will make our way to Barcelona, where we will see a true "football" game, and so much more (kody would have to tell you, because he's the one who wants to go).
I think its important to post this now, because I'm almost POSITIVE it will change a million times before we actually go.
